Our main school, which opened 17 years ago, is IH Bangkok. It is conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok and is ideally situated for students to enjoy the sights and sounds of this lively and exotic city. Voted by Travel and Leisure as the best city in the world in 2013 and 2014, there really is something for everyone in Bangkok. Bangkok was also the most visited city in the world in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Our Bangkok school moved to a brand-new, 50% bigger, purpose-built school and training centre in 2018 - located on the main street in Bangkok. IH Bangkok is special in that we are a medium-sized school when it comes to teaching English, but we also train over 550 CELTA trainees every year (at both locations). As our English department is medium sized, we can concentrate more fully on each student. Because we train 550 teachers a year, we choose only the top 1% to teach at our school. All of our teachers are CELTA trained, have at least a university degree, and are all native English speakers. To welcome you and introduce you to the school, Bangkok, Thailand, and the surrounding area in a more comprehensive manner, we have a 15-minute orientation before your first class and an optional 30 minute walking tour on the first day.
